Suffolk County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services Commissioner Rudy Sunderman said the fire will not be considered completely "contained" until 10-foot breaks are built around the full perimeter of the fire, where combustible materials and elements are removed to prevent it from reigniting and spreading.

An arson investigation is underway on Long Island after a series of brush fires over the weekend injured at least two firefighters as flames consumed hundreds of acres in Suffolk County. FOX 5 NY's Jodi Goldberg has the latest.

All four Long Island brush fires that sent soaring plumes of smoke into the air had been contained by Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
