Yes, there are fire pits that you can use, first come first serve. Go to google maps on satellite view and you can figure out which one you’d like to use ahead of time.
How much does it cost to rent one of those beautiful Cabanas? Do u have to book in advance? How far away is La jolla from say Mission Beach? Marianne :)

Don't know about cabanas. 20 minutes via I-5 north of Mission Beach.

One more PS.....Del Mar is another very nice beach and town (love it there). Only about 15 min north of La Jolla
